Friday Finds - Girls Night Out

Single or attached, every now and again you just have to hang out with your girls. Of course, you can always make the rounds of happy hours, dinner parties, or afternoons at the beach, but if you're looking for something a little different this summer, we've come up with a few ideas to start you off..

1. Summer Movie Classics at The Tampa Theatre

Built in 1926 and located downtown on North Franklin Street, The Tampa Theatre is immaculately maintained and preserved. Take a step back in time and enjoy a classic movie in a classic location.

Sunday afternoons throughout the summer at 3:00pm. Regular admission is $9.00. Movies on the lineup: "Casablanca", "Mary Poppins" (they're having a sing-a-long!), "Psycho", "From Here to Eternity"

Monica's must see: "The Princess Bride" on August 15th

Jennifer's must see: "Gone With the Wind" on August 22nd

Awesome cocktails and menu...try the "Garlic Frites" fancy name for french fries. They come with an assortment of delish dipping sauces. Plus they have a small rooftop deck that overlooks downtown Tampa. End the evening with a drink and good convo with friends.

2. Summer Concerts

Tampa has some great artists coming through this summer and playing at the Ford Amphitheater.

 A relatively new South Tampa fave..Datz Deli boasts a very active monthly social calendar that has tons of food and wine events.
